In February 2009, the remarkably refurbished Alice Tully Hall reopened. Please read this information to help you prepare for your first visit.

Surrounding Alice Tully Hall:

  • The completion of Alice Tully Hall was the first step of many in the overall redevelopment of Lincoln Center. As such, there is still a fair amount of construction on the Lincoln Center campus. It even continues on the corner of 66th and Broadway, as the studio for WNET is being constructed.
  • Please be aware that the southernmost subway entrance in front of Avery Fisher Hall is closed to accommodate construction of the Promenade. The northernmost entrance, at the corner of 66th and Broadway, is open.

Entry into Alice Tully Hall:
There are 2 entry points into Alice Tully Hall and they are both ADA compliant.

  • Patrons in possession of their tickets should use the Main Entrance through the revolving doors on 65th Street and Broadway.
  • Patrons picking up, purchasing, needing replacement tickets, or with other box office issues should use the North Entrance, located closest to 66th Street and Broadway.

Box Office/Customer Service:
The Box Office is found by the North Entrance.

  • Hours of operation: Mon – Sat, 10 AM – 6 PM & Sun, 12 PM – 6 PM. Additionally the box office will remain open half an hour after a performance begins.
  • The Chamber Music Society will operate a Patrons Window, located next to the box office, accessible from the North Entrance and available on site one hour prior to performance.

New Names:

  • The seating area in Alice Tully Hall is called the Starr Theater.
  • The loge and boxes are now called Citi Balcony.
  • The inner lobby is the Morgan Stanley Lobby.
  • The grand foyer is the outer public lobby.
  • The Hauser Patron Salon can be accessed by stairs or elevator, located at the center of the north wall of the Morgan Stanley Lobby. Admittance to the Salon is by invitation only.

Amenities:

  • at65 café/bar will be open to the public from 8 AM – 9 PM in the grand foyer, which is accessed from the Main Entrance. at65 will also remain open one hour after curtain closes on performance nights.
  • Concessions will also be available at concerts, at points located within the Morgan Stanley Lobby.
  • The coat check is located on the westernmost point of the Morgan Stanley Lobby, and is available only to ticket holders.
  • Restrooms are prominently found throughout the hall and all are ADA compliant.

* Public restrooms are located next to the Box Office.

* Ticket holders will find restrooms one flight down from the Morgan Stanley Lobby on both sides of the Starr Theater.

  • An elevator leading to the orchestra level, Citi Balcony, Hauser Patron Salon, and restrooms can be accessed from the Morgan Stanley Lobby.
  • A second elevator leading to house right box A in Citi Balcony and the Front Orchestra (rows A – H) can be accessed from house right of the Starr Theater.
  • Infrared hearing devices are available at the House Manager’s station, just inside the Morgan Stanley Lobby. The system is the same system that was in place prior to the renovation.
