On Friday evening Hester Diamond and Ralph Kaminsky welcomed members of the Artistic Directors Circle to their home to hear renowned pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard in a brilliant performance of solo works by Schumann and Bartok. Artistic Director, Wu Han, introduced the artist as one of her great keyboard heroes, and following his superb concert, the guests assembled in the dining room for a beautiful dinner. Despite the pouring rain, spirits were high among the CMS patrons and board members who engaged in lively conversation for the remainder of the evening.
Ralph Kaminsky and Hester Diamond, devotees of contemporary music, were inspired to host this event when they heard Mr. Aimard perform last January in the highly acclaimed Ligeti Festival he had conceived for CMS. Their gracious private event proved to be a wonderful occasion for the major patrons of CMS to recollect the excellent season they had generously supported.
