“Wonderfully Inventive.” With these words, MusicalAmerica.com hailed the 2008-09 season. With concerts, lectures, family events, master classes, and more, it’s a season that is highlighted by our return midyear to a newly renovated and glorious Alice Tully Hall!

OVERVIEW OF SUBSCRIPTION PACKAGES

Make Your Own series – maximum flexibility with minimum hassle! Choose three, four, five, six, or twelve concerts that suit your schedule and your tastes. And in doing so, you save money over the price of single tickets, and guarantee your seat at the concerts you want to hear! Choose a Make Your Own series.

Chamber Collections provide a variety of thoughtfully conceived packages, assembled on specific days of the week or by specific themes:

  • Series by day of the week: Choose from packages on Sunday afternoons, Tuesday evenings, or Friday evenings. Ranging from four- to eleven-concert packages, this option makes scheduling your concerts easy. Look for series priced at both Prime and Standard Seating , and investigate the concerts featured in each package.
  • The International String Quartet Series: Hear five of the most distinguished ensembles in the world perform the repertoire at the heart of chamber music. Priced for Prime or Standard Seating.
  • Night Fantasies: Previously available only in Europe, this series of evocative programs features music inspired by the night. Subscribe to Night Fantasies for the most provocative listening experience of the season.
  • Baroque Festival: Love Baroque music? Then subscribe to this package that includes the annual presentation of Bach’s Complete Brandenburg Concertos. Series BAR.
  • Winter Festival – Around Prokofiev: Concerts and lectures put the music of Prokofiev in the context of his time. Performed in Alice Tully Hall: choose Prime or Standard Seating.

When you’ve chosen your concert series, make it an even deeper and more satisfying encounter. Chamber Music Essentials offers the building blocks for appreciating chamber music. Four fall lectures led by pianist Orli Shaham are focused for new listeners.

If you’ve yet to discover Inside Chamber Music with Bruce Adolphe, this is the perfect opportunity to encounter what legions of fans know… Bruce, CMS Resident Lecturer and Director of Family Programs, explores Inventing Modernism, using music from the season, in unexpectedly insightful and enjoyable ways.
