The versatile, radiant Dawn Upshaw and CMS Artists celebrate 40 years of riveting chamber music performances in this Opening Night gala. The Viennese-inspired program of favorites and discoveries features magical works of Mahler, Schubert, and Strauss, plus a world premiere by Upshaw favorite David Bruce.


SPECIAL EVENTS RELATED TO THIS CONCERT

* Schubert's Allegro in A minor for Piano, Four Hands hints at the treats in store for listeners at a concert later in the season. Pianos/Pianists on Friday, November 20 and Sunday, November 22 features an entire program of music for four hands at one, or two, pianos. It also points to an entire festival of Schubert's music in November.
