About This Performance
The venerable Borodin Quartet has been thrilling audiences around the world for decades, through its performances and recordings. The ensemble returns to CMS for its main stage debut (its first visit to CMS was for a private benefit concert) showcasing works from its countrymen -- certain to be presented with the authority that national pride engenders.
SPECIAL EVENTS RELATED TO THIS CONCERT
* Other concerts in the International String Quartet Series (SQS) feature the Escher String Quartet on Wednesday, October 28, and the Jupiter String Quartet on Wednesday, April 28.
* Can't get enough of string quartets? If your answer is an emphatic "yes," then this is the season for you! In addition to the other concerts in the string quartet series, CMS proudly presents the repertoire at the heart of the chamber music canon, the complete string quartets of Beethoven. Six concerts in February: February 5, 7, 9, 19, 21, and 23.
