We are a committee of high school students from the Tri-State area, plan and produce an annual “unconventional” concert series for our peers under the auspices of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Working closely with the CMS staff we develop skill sets necessary to be successful arts administrators including programming, marketing, and production. They in turn hold us responsible for everything from concert personnel and repertoire to stage design, advertising, and ticket sales. The programming choices for our concerts reflect the youthful and eclectic tastes we share with our audiences. All our concerts feature a cast of young, audacious musicians performing a selection of classical and contemporary repertoire ranging from Debussy sonatas to traditional Chinese folk songs.
Our mission is to present chamber music concerts to audiences of our peers stimulating enthusiasm and zeal for the art form. By supporting the Student Producers you empower us to become tomorrow’s arts leaders and visionaries, and by extension help cultivate a new generation of chamber music listeners.
Now in our sixth season, we aim to expand our experience and extend the scope of our program by making a foray into fundraising. Developing the skill sets necessary to plan, organize, and implement a successful fundraising campaign is an essential element necessary in truly becoming tomorrow’s arts leaders. All donations we receive will directly fund our future programs and help us expand our reach further into the community.
