The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center seeks to identify school leaders interested in exploring how our artistic and educational resources can assist in accomplishing your educational goals. Above and beyond introducing students to music and related arts, we seek to work with schools to plan, develop, and implement projects to increase student motivation, participation, and achievement across disciplines, foster literacy, cultural awareness, critical thinking, teamwork, and related skills. Led by CMS Education Director Andrew Berger, this presentation will review the resources available to you at CMS—which include professional artists, teaching artists, and education staff—and proceed to an open discussion of how these resources can be leveraged to address specific educational goals and challenges at your school. We envision that projects may include activities such as extended residencies, attendance at concerts, professional development work with teachers, technical assistance in school and after-school program development, and student participation in professional concert production. Following the discussion, you are welcome to join us for a one-hour concert in our series produced by our Student Producers, a committee of high school students that plan, market, and present professional music events targeted toward peer audiences (on 3/16 and 4/20) or a concert of chamber music classics in our popular Rose Studio series (on 3/15 and 4/19). Please browse our site for further information on the programs we currently offer and our artistic resources.

Andrew Berger, presenter for the sessions, has worked in senior positions the arts education field for over 12 years for organizations including Lincoln Center Institute, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and Tilles Center for the Performing Arts.
