AudioNotes: The Beethoven Cycles

During the 2009-10 season, CMS proudly presents the complete string quartets of Beethoven, performed by six ensembles from the CMS family who have emerged as the leading quartets of our time. Complementing the quartet cycle are performances of the complete sonatas for violin and piano, and for cello and piano.

Listen to the AudioNotes below as CMS Artistic Director, David Finckel, along with Patrick Castillo take you on a journey through the history and significance of Beethoven’s cello sonatas and the complete string quartet cycle.
