The second release from CMS on the DG Concerts imprint is now available at iTunes. The Baroque Collection includes works by J.S. Bach, Vivaldi, Telemann & Handel, which were featured in December’s sold out Baroque Festival concert.

Entitled Baroque Collection, this concert was recorded at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center on December 8th & 10th as part of the Chamber Music Society’s Baroque Festival concert series. Works on the program include Telemann’s Trio Sonata in C minor for Flute, Oboe, and Continuo; Handel’s Harpsichord Concerto in B-flat major, Op. 4, No. 6; J.S. Bach’s Schweight stille, plaudert nicht, BWV 211 “Coffee Cantata;” “Auch mit gedampften, schwachen Stimmen” from Cantata, BWV 36; and Vivaldi’s Concerto in D major for Flute, Strings, and Continuo, RV 428, “The Goldfinch,” and Concerto in F major for Three Violins, Strings, and Continuo, RV 551.
DG Concerts is Deutsche Grammophon’s revolutionary initiative for recording and releasing concert performances by illustrious orchestral collaborators including the New York Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and now CMS.
