Young Musicians Concert Showcases Outstanding Ensembles

The Young Musicians program of CMS celebrates its 25th anniversary this spring as our hallmark program for high school ensembles. High school-aged ensembles, which are selected to participate through a competitive audition, meet with CMS Artists for three coaching sessions, then perform at a professionally produced concert under CMS auspices.

This year, a record number of 34 ensembles applied from around the tri-state area. The concert, at the New York Society for Ethical Culture on Tuesday, April 15 at 11 AM, will feature eleven of these groups from Great Neck and Syosset, New York; Tenafly, Fort Lee, and Ridgewood, New Jersey; as well as from New York city schools LaGuardia High School, the Trinity School, and the Dalton School.

The concert is free, open to the public, and possibly the most refreshing concert you will attend in some time! For more information on this extraordinary concert or to reserve tickets, call the Education Department at 212-875-5793, or contact education@ChamberMusicSociety.org.
