Pianos/Pianists—A Celebration of the Keyboard
Program Description: When four hands meet at the keyboard, the result is a special sonic experience. Composers throughout history have written important workd for two pianists that demonstrate an extraordinary variety of styles, from the elegance of Mendelssohn’s Andante and Variations to the primal ferocity of Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring. A dizzying array of twelve hands, belonging to the entire CMS roster of pianists, brings this program to life.
