The new season of the CMS national radio series, 26 one-hour programs featuring performances from the 2011-2012 season, begins local broadcast on WQXR-FM on Sunday, October 14, at 10pm. The first program, Virtuoso Strings, features the Bach Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, CPE Bach’s Sinfonia in C major for Strings, W. 182, No. 3, and the Mendelssohn Octet for Strings. Broadcasts continue on consecutive Sundays.
