Inspector Pulse & the Contrapuntal Contraption

Concerts for kids ages 6 and up and their families

Inspector Pulse, the curious private ear, invents a contrapuntal contraption that turns tunes into fugues, canons, and rounds! He tries to interest musicians in his invention, but he discovers that composers (like Bach!) wrote counterpoint without using a machine! How did they do that? And what is a fugue, anyway?! Join the wacky but determined Inspector Pulse as he fools around with rounds, explodes the mysteries of canons, and figures out fugues! Featuring music by J.S. Bach, Handel, Haydn, Stravinsky, Steve Reich, and more.

An instrument petting zoo will take place starting one hour prior to the concert, at 1:00 PM.
