CMS goes on tour to Sheslow Auditorium at Drake University.
Folk music has been an inspiration for generations of composers. Each of the composers featured draws on Eastern European folk music in unique ways, sometimes outright, more often in small inflections of color or a turn of phrase. This stunning program exemplifies the seamless blending of folk tradition with art music.
