2013 marks the 400th anniversary of the death of Italian composer, nobleman, and murderer Carlo Gesualdo. Beyond the tabloid-quality biography, Gesualdo wrote some of the most highly chromatic music of any composer, not only of his day, but for most of musical history. This program juxtaposes selections of Gesualdo with contemporary responses in the ethereal setting of the Good Shepherd-Faith Presbyterian Church.
