Saratoga Performing Arts Center
CMS established its residency at Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) in 2014, and the partnership has since grown into one of CMS’s most significant and sustained relationships outside New York City. Located in Saratoga Springs, NY -- a historic resort city long known for its natural beauty and vibrant cultural life – SPAC offers a distinctive setting for deep artistic engagement. With more than 90 performances presented to date, the residency anchors a robust chamber music presence at SPAC and reflects a shared commitment to artistic excellence, audience development, and long-term cultural investment.
CMS’s performances take place primarily in the Spa Little Theater, an intimate venue located within the 2,400-acre Saratoga Spa State Park, where world-class performances are experienced in close connection with the surrounding landscape. CMS is presented alongside SPAC’s major resident and visiting companies, including the New York City Ballet and the Philadelphia Orchestra, positioning chamber music as a vital part of SPAC’s classical programming and the city’s cultural life.
In recent seasons, the partnership has continued to expand, including the introduction of CMS’s Brandenburg Concertos in 2025, which resulted in a sold-out audience. With its multi-week summer series and growing year-round presence, the SPAC residency remains one of CMS’s flagship initiatives, offering New York City–based audiences a compelling opportunity to experience chamber music within one of the country’s most celebrated cultural destinations.
