The Society of the Four Arts

CMS began its residency at The Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach, FL, in 2021. Founded in 1936, the Four Arts is a historic cultural institution with a broad mission encompassing music, literature, drama, and visual arts. CMS concerts take place in the Walter S. Gubelmann Auditorium, a central venue within the organization’s campus.

The residency is now an annual festival at the Four Arts, curated by CMS Co-Artistic Director Wu Han, who serves as Artistic Advisor for the Four Arts chamber music programming. These thematic festival presentations bring artists from CMS’s roster to Palm Beach for a concentrated series of performances that deepen audience engagement and build continuity across seasons.

In addition to its mainstage performances, CMS regularly brings its hallmark educational programming to the Four Arts, including lectures, family concerts, and other learning opportunities, strengthening community engagement and supporting the Four Arts’ commitment to lifelong cultural enrichment.
