Remembering Carole Donlin
The Global Council, board, musicians and staff of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center mourn the passing of our former Global Council Co-Chair Carole Donlin.
A member of the Global Council since 2018, Carole stepped into the role of co-chair last year. Under her leadership, the Global Council engaged in important initiatives supporting CMS’s efforts and mission, in particular those focused on young artists, to whom she was devoted, and underserved communities. Carole is also lovingly remembered for her volunteer involvement by a number of other institutions, including the Young Concert Artists board where she had a long history of nurturing talented emerging musicians. She, herself, was a very serious and accomplished pianist.
Ms. Donlin spent much of her adult life in the Metropolitan New York area. Before retiring, she was co-founder and president of Donlin Recano & Company, Inc. and Chair of DRX Distributions, Inc., working with large corporations in bankruptcy across industries. She was an avid traveler and connoisseur/collector of fine art. Her email address honored the nim suzani that she loved.
At CMS we will miss Carole very much and think of her often. Our hearts go out to her family.
