Students from William A. Shine - Great Neck South High School have launched a new app under the mentorship of Brett Bachman (co-chair, CMS Global Council) and with a grant from CMS as winners of the inaugural Young Musicians Innovation Challenge. Working with a student from New Hyde Park Memorial High School, the team’s Chamber: Connect app allows users to share their performances, chat with each other, and learn about the art of chamber music.

In the team's own words:

Connecting the world through chamber music, and connecting chamber music with the world. Chamber Connect takes chamber music and fuses it with social media in a way that has never been done before. After users create an account, they can access the many features in Chamber Connect.

Video-Sharing - Users can upload videos of themselves singing or playing an instrument and share it with the rest of the world. Anyone can view the videos!

Chat - Chat with your fellow musicians about anything and everything with this feature of Chamber Connect! Share videos with each other, plan out duets, and more.

Learn - Learn about different cultures and composers with a selection of specially curated content. Chamber music isn’t just for musicians, it can be for anyone.
