2022 Spring Gala
Honoring CMS Co-Artistic Directors David Finckel and Wu Han
The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS) will celebrate its 52nd Anniversary Season Spring Gala on Tuesday, May 10 at its acoustically exquisite home, Alice Tully Hall. This festive and elegant evening is our major event for the year, and it provides essential support for all our performance and educational initiatives and activities in New York, around the globe, and online. The evening includes a cocktail reception, a chamber music performance by an elite cast of musicians, and a seated dinner with the artists.
This year we honor Co-Artistic Directors, David Finckel and Wu Han, for their visionary leadership both at CMS for nearly two decades and in the field of classical music. Most recently, during the devastating time when performing artists and arts organizations worldwide were forced to cease live concerts, CMS produced an all-digital season, sustaining our artists and growing audiences for chamber music. Entirely new programs were shared with thousands of people through the CMS website, webinars, and social media platforms. These programs were also made available to other performing arts organizations and festivals around the country that were struggling to maintain their presence during the pandemic.
Please join us for this very special evening as we celebrate our magnificent Artistic Directors!
