In this lecture, composer, radio personality and CMS Resident Lecturer Bruce Adolphe is joined by CMS artists to examine Debussy's Quartet in G minor for Strings, Op. 10. In this, his only string quartet, Debussy created a sonic canvass of extraordinary beauty and instrumental color. His distinctly personal vision of music resonates throughout the piece, one of the most beloved in the literature.
