Master Classes
The Master Class Series offers an unparalleled opportunity for the next generation of chamber ensembles to refine their craft in front of a live, ticketed audience. These dynamic sessions bring aspiring musicians together with our world-renowned CMS artists for interactive instruction, real-time feedback, and live demonstrations.
Held in the Rose Studio at CMS, at colleges and conservatories across the country, and on tour worldwide, these master classes serve as a bridge between accomplished artists, emerging ensembles, and engaged audiences. With each session, participants gain personalized guidance, invaluable insights, and practical skills that elevate their musical artistry while audiences witness the fascinating process of artistic growth in real time.

Application Timeline
Application deadlines vary by Master Class and are listed on the application form.
2–3 ensembles will be selected for each Master Class and confirmed one month before each event.
Eligibility
- Ensembles must currently be enrolled in a college or conservatory
- Musicians must be currently enrolled in the same college or conservatory
- Musicians must be 18 years of age or older at the time of application
