Our Winter Festival presents four spectacular ensembles whose artistry is lighting the way for the next generation of string quartets.

The internationally esteemed Schumann Quartet, an alum of CMS’s Bowers Program, presents a highly charged program of emotional extremes—from Beethoven’s shortest, most frenetic quartet to Berg’s riveting precursor to his “Lyric Suite,” and Smetana’s openly autobiographical “From My Life.”
