Presented by The Society of the Four Arts.
The year 2020 marks the 250th birthday of legendary composer Ludwig van Beethoven, and there is no better way to honor this momentous occasion than by presenting, in one performance, three of his chamber music milestones: the Cello Sonata Op. 5, No. 1, the "Kreutzer" Violin Sonata, and the “Archduke” Piano Trio. A combination of works dedicated to important patrons and fellow colleagues, these pieces expanded the horizon of virtuosity and range for the duo sonata ensemble and gave the world the gold standard of the piano trio genre. Join us for a celebration of the life and legacy of one of the most important composers in history.
