Beethoven’s many works, right down to their individual movements, abound with a variety that is beyond belief. This all-Beethoven program highlights the abundant variety of his compositions pays tribute to his genius, beginning with early chamber works and culminating in the grandeur of his “Archduke” Trio. Though Beethoven’s performances of the “Archduke” Trio would mark his last public performances as a pianist because of his growing deafness, his reputation as a composer would continue to grow, as demonstrated in the now-legendary status of this transformational piano trio.
