David Finckel on The Magnificent Violin

Last month, CMS was pleased to announce our upcoming 2025-2026 season: The Magnificent Violin. To learn more about what you can expect from CMS’s virtuosic violinists next fall, check out David Finckel’s full interview in Playbill.

In 56 concerts across three Lincoln Center stages, CMS will present exquisite works of chamber music comprising 345 years of repertoire. At the core of the season is an exploration of the role the violin has played in chamber music from its invention in the mid-sixteenth century through the present day, with CMS’s nearly two dozen world-class violinists taking center stage.
