Artist Notes / Stella Chen

Artist Notes is a new series of digital shorts chronicling an artist’s relationship with a particular work. In this first film violinist Stella Chen explores her approach to Dvořák’s Sonatina in G major for Violin and Piano, Op. 100 (1893), which she performs in our American Visitors program (October 18, 2022). She also considers this work in the context of her career and what led her to the violin in the first place.

Stella Chen appeared in American Visitors on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, and The Art of the Recital on Thursday, October 13, 2022.
