Bryan Gilliam is Professor Emeritus and Bass Fellow at Duke University (Department of Music and German). He has published six books on Richard Strauss, most recently a monograph on Salome for Oxford Keynotes. He serves as Associate Editor for The Musical Quarterly and serves on the board of advisors of the Kurt Weill Edition. Beyond Strauss, he has published on Anton Bruckner, Kurt Weill, and Erich Wolfgang Korngold.
