Helen M. Greenwald
WriterHelen M. Greenwald was a professional cellist in New York for over 20 years. Her lifelong interest in chamber music is augmented by her scholarly activities, which include the critical edition of Verdi’s Attila (prepared for Ricardo Muti in his Metropolitan Opera debut), The Oxford Handbook of Opera, and program essays for arts institutions such as the Boston Symphony Orchestra, La Scala, The Royal Opera House at Covent Garden, and the Metropolitan Opera. Prof. Greenwald teaches music history at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.
