Michael Musgrave is a music scholar, pianist, and organist, who teaches in the Graduate Faculty of Juilliard. He is author and editor of six books on Brahms and a biography of Schumann. His editions of music include the Brahms Liebeslieder-Walzer [Peters and Carus Editions] and Brahms’s orchestral serenades, overtures, and (jointly) Ein deutsches Requiem in the new Brahms Sämtliche Werke (Brahms Collected Works) [Henle]. He is editor of the current Peters Edition of the Schumann Piano Concerto.
