Our Winter Festival presents four spectacular ensembles whose artistry is lighting the way for the next generation of string quartets.

Following a memorable CMS debut in the 2021–22 season, the Quartetto di Cremona returns, offering a program of impressive breadth and depth. Beginning with one of Osvaldo Golijov’s quartets that explores contrasting realities, the ensemble journeys back to perform a landmark quartet by Shostakovich and concludes with Schubert’s unforgettable “Death and the Maiden.”
