CMS Remembers Herbert Schlosser

The board, musicians and staff of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center deeply mourn the passing of our remarkable long-time board member, Herbert Schlosser. A towering figure in business, he loomed equally large for CMS where he brought his love of chamber music, his broad and informed perspective, and his generosity. Wise, funny, smart, insightful, warm, and welcoming, he was a true gentleman in every way, respected, admired, and loved everywhere he went. We will miss him terribly but feel lucky to have had him with us as long as we did.

A devoted subscriber from the early days of CMS, Mr. Schlosser joined the Board of Directors in 2006. His powerful legacy will sustain CMS long into the future. Our hearts go out to his beloved wife Judith and family.
