ACCESSIBILITY AT ALICE TULLY HALL

ARRIVING AT ALICE TULLY HALL

Drop-off location: South corner of West 66th Street and Broadway

The Box Office Entrance to Alice Tully Hall is along Broadway, just south of West 66th Street. This entrance has a width of 36”. After entering, the main ramp inside the lobby has a width of 38.5”.

The Main Hall Entrance to Alice Tully Hall is accessible via a ramp along West 65th Street, with an entrance width of 39”.

ACCESSIBILE SEATING

Accessible seating at the front of the hall is located on house right. All accessible doors have buttons, and are often attended by ushers.

Seats in Row G, S, and Z are accessible via elevator and do not require steps. 

For those with mobility concerns, to arrive at your location the number of steps down are:

• 16 steps down to rows U–Z (34” wide wheelchair accessible entrance behind row Z)
• 21 steps down to rows M–T
• 34 steps down to rows A–L
• 5 steps up row to arrive on the Balcony Level, in addition to other steps to arrive at your seat location
  • No steps for Balcony Box C and Center Balcony Row A
  • 2 steps up for Center Balcony Row B
  • 4 steps up for Center Balcony Row C
  • 7 steps down to Balcony Box B
  • 14 steps down to Balcony Box A

All seat widths are 18.5”. Leg room varies by section. 

ELEVATORS

Elevators inside Alice Tully Hall have a door width no less than 36” and have Braille to indicate floor number. Elevator weight capacities range from 2,000-2,500 lbs.

RESTROOMS

Men’s and women’s restrooms are located on the lower level, orchestra right. Accessible gender-neutral restrooms are located on lobby/street level, on the ramp to the left of the box office windows.

Accessible restroom stalls are at least 61”x60” and restroom doors are no less than 32” wide. Sinks are recessed and no taller than 35”. Sinks, soap dispensers, and paper towels are all motion activated.

WATER FOUNTAIN

A recessed water fountain is available on the lower level. The motion-activated water fountain is recessed by 15”, and 45” off the ground. 

LARGE PRINT AND BRAILLE PROGRAMS

Large print and Braille programs are available at the Guest Experience Desk in the Morgan Stanley Lobby. 

ACCESSIBILITY AT THE ROSE STUDIO AT CMS

ARRIVING AT THE ROSE STUDIO AT CMS

Drop-off location: North side of West 65th Street near Amsterdam Avenue

An elevator and escalator from street level to plaza level are located on the north side of West 65th Street near Amsterdam Avenue. Enter the building through automated doors operated by a button on the left-hand side of the entrance. The Rose Studio at CMS is accessible from the elevators inside the lobby.

ELEVATORS

Elevators are accessible with braille to indicate floor number. Elevators are 50”x70”.

ACCESSIBILE SEATING

Accessible seating in the Rose Studio includes designated aisle seats. Specify your accessible seating requests when purchasing to ensure accommodations.

RESTROOMS

Men’s and women’s restrooms are located on the side of the elevator bay opposite the Rose Studio.

WATER FOUNTAIN

A recessed water fountain is available on the 10th floor on the way to the restrooms, in the hallway on the opposite side of the elevator bay from the Rose Studio.

Relaxed Performances

CMS offers Relaxed Performances for select concerts. Open to all, but designed for people with autism, sensory, and communication disorders or learning disabilities. The artistic integrity of the piece remains unchanged, however modifications to social and sensory environment may be made. This structure can also be beneficial for people who are neurodivergent, families with young children, and anyone who finds traditional performance protocols do not work for their needs.
